Manali Wild life
Sanctury – This
sanctuary starts about 2 km from Manali. Musk deer, Monal and Brown bear,
Leopard and snow leopards are some of the common animals seen here. Herds of
ibex are seen migrating in the gracier zone in summers.
Nehru Kund - It is a quiet little spot situated at
a short distance from Manali. The natural springs in this kund owes its
origination to Lake Bhrigu which is located high above in the mountains. This
kund is surrounded by lush abundant greenery. It is named after the first Prime
Minister – Jawaharlal Nehru who used to drink this crystal water of the natural
spring.
Chandratal Lake - The Lake is situated on the Samudra
Tapu plateau, which overlooks the Chandra river. The name of the lake
originates from its crescent shape. Chandra Taal is a popular destination for
trekkers and campers. Vast meadows on the banks of the lake are the camping
sites and during spring time these meadows are carpeted with hundreds of kinds
of wild flowers. Another interesting thing about this lake is that there is no
visible source of this lake but there is visible outlet of this lake which
means that water to this lake comes from underground.
After knowing so many things about Manali, is it possible
that a visit is not made to such a marvelous place? We did go there and enjoyed
a lot. The days we spent there and the moments we enjoyed there, are just
impossible to put in words.
Due to time shortage, we had to cut short but then also what
we saw and what we enjoyed is not less than enough. We have kept few places in
reserve so that we can enjoy them in our next visit. In fact, we shall visit
next, there may be much more development. The facilities and convenience may
increase a lot.
Now due to cut throat competition in the touring business,
the things are likely to improve for the betterment of the travelers. We have come to the conclusion that if the
time permits and if it is affordable, a separate tour of Kullu Manali Honeymoon Package can be overwhelming.
